This series emerged in the context of the pandemic, inspired by the freedom of our minds, which knows no bounds, even in the midst of isolation and confinement. For me, coffee has always been something that comforts me. It's also a social event, a loving moment to see each other and talk, and those human connections were something that social isolation also deprived us of. However, in such a complex and dark situation, I wanted to give a positive tone and transform it into a world of possibilities, even in solitude and within a defined space. The coffee cup, besides being an element that gives me peace in my daily life and makes me live more awake—an intangible place of security and well-being—in my drawings became a metaphor for the place we inhabit, a metaphor for our home.

The central concept I develop is that, regardless of the defined physical space we find ourselves in—whether for survival, creative abilities, or spiritual qualities—human beings have the capacity to dream and are inclined to live as healthily and fulfilled a life as possible. In this case, that space is coffee cups. So, in a way that is sometimes poetic, sometimes dynamic, sometimes playful, with a playful approach and playing with proportions, I wanted to capture the human figure in action, within its coffee cup-like home. The scenes represent what we do daily, what we like to do, and also the places we travel to with our imagination, which is infinite, and with our mind, which always constitutes a space of freedom.
